This part of the southeast is easily one of the more famous areas known for its beauty & timeless southern charm. When Sarah & I were speaking about a location for her bridal portraits I knew the Wormsloe Historic Site had to be on the list of options. Not many places offer a beautiful oak lined driveway with Spanish moss swaying from the branches, giving such a serene feel. We spent the afternoon enjoying the plantation while photographing her in her beautiful gown. With sleeves that had so much detail & character, I knew I was going to love being able to photograph it!
This historic site has the oldest standing structure in Savannah, the Wormsloe tabby ruins. With tours available & a museum with artifacts you cannot go wrong visiting here. I highly suggest it if you’re in the area. I especially love how you can use it for many different sessions. It still goes along perfectly, from engagement, maternity, family, etc. Its just a gorgeous location! Many people also have their weddings here. I’ve seen the most lovely photos of simple, timeless weddings.
